In September 2011 I had my first child and for the first time I had to lose a lot of weight and I needed to get back into shape. A friend of mine recommended doing boot camp with Body Zone Fitness. I did the last drop in class before Christmas 2011 and signed up for January 2012. Body Zone Fitness was able to help me both get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight and back into shape within the year of my maternity leave.
When I returned back to work I was commuting, working 10 hour or longer shifts, and had my toddler at home. I wasn’t able to fit boot camp into my schedule, but I met with a Body Zone personal trainer and set up a program I could do on my own time (usually when my toddler was sleeping). When I became pregnant for the second time I got my doctor’s permission to continue exercising. I once again met with a Body Zone personal trainer to set up a program adjusted for my second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
My second child was born at the end of January 2014 and I was able to start back at boot camp in April. Today I am 8 months post partum and am just about back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I still have a little bit left to lose, but am certain I will reach my goal soon.
What I like about Body Zone Fitness is that they are able to provide services that fit my needs, depending on what is going on in my life. I like the boot camps because they are a great strength training and cardio workout that I can fit in 3 days a week. I will admit there are days when I am tired because the baby has been up throughout the night and the toddler won’t nap during the day. But I do my best to make it to class. The instructors are great motivators and I always feel re-energized after a class.
