5 Tips To Transition Your Workouts from Summer to Fall

As the leaves change colour and the air gets the crisp smell, it's time to shift your fitness routine from sunny summer to cozy fall days. And for once, I am ready for all the Fall vibes. Transitioning your workouts between seasons can be refreshing and challenging, but babe, I got you some of my top tips to help you maintain your progress and stay on track.

1. Embrace the Beautiful Outdoors

Fall offers a unique and picturesque backdrop for outdoor workouts. Take advantage of the crisp air and vibrant colours by incorporating outdoor activities like hiking, jogging, or cycling into your routine. There is something magical about soaking in the Fall colours.

2. Adjust Your Workout Schedule

You may need to reevaluate your workout schedule with the days getting shorter. Consider shifting your workouts to earlier in the day to help you get motivated by the sunlight. On the darker, gloomier days, I love to book into a group fitness class or schedule a Personal Training session to hold me more accountable.

3. Set Clear Goals & Expectations

Reevaluate your fitness goals for the fall season. Whether it's maintaining your summer progress, preparing for a holiday event, or achieving a specific fitness milestone, setting clear objectives will help you stay motivated and focused on your workouts.

4. Stay Hydrated!

While the weather may be more relaxed, staying hydrated is just as crucial during fall workouts as in the summer. Keep your glow on by carrying a water bottle and sip regularly to maintain optimal hydration levels. A little trick I do in the Fall is starting my day with warm lemon water to help my hydration levels stay up, adding the clean energy-flavoured powder to my water, and sipping my detox tea at night.

5. Enjoy All The Fall Foods

Fall brings many nutritious, seasonal foods like pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and apples. These foods can fuel your workouts and provide essential nutrients. Try incorporating them into your pre-and post-workout meals for an extra energy boost and faster recovery. Give my favourite, protein packed Fall Chili recipe a go.

Consistency will always be the key to achieving your fitness goals, regardless of the season. Stick to your workout schedule, even when the days get darker and the weather turns gloomier. Remember that every workout counts toward your progress.

Happy Fall!
