This week, I spoke with five women — and every single one of them said the same thing.

In March of 2025, I went to my doctor feeling defeated. I explained that I had gained 7lbs in less than a year — something that had never happened to my body before.

“Well, you’re almost 40. This is just part of getting older.”

That answer didn’t sit right with me.

Yes — age matters.Yes — our bodies change as we get older.

But unexplained weight gain is not normal. And it’s not something women should be told to simply accept.
